It's a Partay: TFF's Spring Soirée
I've missed you, SO.
But we hosted a shindig worthy of reigniting our love-fest.
In the name of the new season, we brought together beautiful goodies, my favorite people and chats on all things HAPPENING this season and successful dressing. I wanted to exhibit not only my own new (brand) swag but that of other businesses I support whole-heartedly in my own process. We talked trends, body types and wardrobe routines with real-life muses styling in their own skin. This date marked the relaunch of our new website, our online thrift store: The Vault, and our new attitude towards being a small business AND personal style influencers.
We teamed up with Andover's style heirloom and denim aficionados, Izzy's Emporium, to dress our subjects in the season's coolest denim styles and wardrobe staples.
The stage was set at the E for All Suite in Lowell MA, We snapped polaroids w/ #TFF's Fuschia Fujicam (courtesy of Target) and indulged in #girlboss inspired goodies from Noble Cakes. The gals from MK Unique Event Planning helped ease the day-of madness and made sure every aspect of our presentation went gracefully.
Take a peak:
Sherease aka Lé Banana: is your average lean, mean, anything fits machine. But, finding outfits that fit her soul is like any battle. True to her being, she was dressed in an effortless tank and distressed skinny jean with details tailored to her personal style identity; a little edge. We wrapped a SS16 inspired plaid scarf around her and a bold hot pink by Fit Luxe to add some flavor. This look goes from day-to-night and will make for a casual get-up with serious glam potential.
Moral of the Story: It's all in the details.
Jeanette aka Lé Rectangle: is a edgy-boyfriend inspired wearing kind of girl. Her struggle? highlighting her figure. Straight leg jeans give the illusion of an hour-glass and adding a cuff will personalize the fit that much more. Take this initiative further and add a knot to an oversized top. Think DIY tailoring.
Moral of the Story: Fringe is everywhere this season and will add such a sassy finish to any denim look.
Letty aka Lé Apple: was my favorite chick to dress because she was the one I could personally relate to the most. Denim shopping for me is a pure adventure. We grabbed a dark-wash indigo bell bottom to not just flatter her figure but to elongate her legs and give portion to her bold shape. Adding a basic top in a funky color aligned with her eclectic soul, oh so perfectly.
To my full-figured gals: Don't be scared to explore your jean styles. BE BOLD, there really is something for all of us.
Jenny aka Lé Pear: is an active-20 something striving-to-change-the-world chica. Her struggle? Finding pants that can keep up with her hips and adding color along the way. Putting her in a skinny style was my immediate call-to-action, she works hard on her shape and should show it off but how could she breakout of her standard dark-colored routine? Starting with a color that still falls into a neutral scheme but has some funk. Military green is cousins with khaki, it pairs great with color and is as flattering as a dark hue. We topped it off with a fun paisley blazer (perfect icebreaker piece) in a relaxed shape over a white tank to keep her cool but give her the presence she needs to take over any environment.
To every single one you: Embrace color. There's an actual psychological theory as how it can make you happier, more empowered and influential. It's the elixir of life.
Not only did we celebrate style in every shape and color, but we celebrated what a new season really signifies. We wish a mighty one and till the next!
w/ love & fash,
